1. Introduction
eHelpLab ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use your free eHelpLab account for tracking applications you have submitted, and any related services (collectively, the "Services").
By using our Services, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use our Services.
2. Information We Collect
Personal Information
We may collect personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide, including but not limited to:
- Name (first and last)
- Email address
- Mobile phone number (optional — only if you want text updates)
- Your notification preferences
- Anything else you choose to send us, such as the contents of a message you send through our contact form
Providing a mobile number is optional. You can create and use an eHelpLab account without one.
Information You Add About Your Applications
Your account contains what you type into it. For each application you choose to track, that is typically where you applied, what you applied for, the date you applied, the status you set, and any note or reminder you add.
We do not obtain this information from anywhere else, we do not contact the organizations you applied to, and we do not add anything to your account that you did not put there. We use it solely to show you your own account and to send the notifications you opted into.
Automatically Collected Information
When you access our Services, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring website or source
- Click patterns and navigation paths
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activities. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create and maintain your account
- To store the applications you add and remind you about them
- To confirm that a mobile number you provide belongs to you, using a one-time verification code
- To send account notifications about your applications, if you opted in
- To send marketing messages, if you separately opted in
- To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- To improve and optimize our Services
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect against unauthorized access to your account
4. Mobile Data Protection
eHelpLab Does NOT Share Your Data With Third Parties
We want to be absolutely clear: eHelpLab does NOT sell, share, rent, trade, or disclose your personal information, mobile phone number, or any other data to third parties for any purpose whatsoever.
Your mobile phone number is used exclusively for:
- Account notifications you have opted into
- Marketing communications only if you explicitly opt in
You have complete control over your mobile communications. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us directly.
5. No Third-Party Data Sharing
eHelpLab does NOT share your data with any third parties.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or disclose your personal information to any third parties for their own purposes. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, lead buyers, or any other external entity seeking to market to you. Your mobile phone number is never shared with anyone.
This includes the organizations you applied to. We do not contact them, we do not tell them you are tracking an application with us, and we do not send them anything about you.
We also keep your information out of the messages we send. Our text notifications tell you there is something to review and link you back to your account; they do not contain your name, where you applied, or the status of any application.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest
- Secure socket layer (SSL) technology
- Regular security assessments and audits
- Access controls and authentication measures
- Employee training on data protection
While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to maintaining the highest practical standards.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When your information is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections to any inaccurate information.
